Victoria Nelon is a style icon on the rise. With a passion for clothes and all things fashion, she is sure to be in a magazine some day. A bargain shopper and a DIY designer, Victoria shows us that we all have the ability to make an outfit our own.

How would you describe your style?

Well everyone calls me a hipster. I don’t really know… I really like basics. I like t-shirts and jeans. If I’m feeling spicy, I’ll wear a jacket and accessories. Also, I really like unique shoes.

If you were to walk into a clothing store, where would be the first place you head?

I would immediately walk towards clearance (ha!) I am a bargain shopper. If I were at H&M, I would head to the men’s section. I like the fit of their clothes better. They’re baggy, but fit. I like the clothes to speak for themselves versus flaunting my body.

What is your favorite piece of clothing?

Ooh, definitely my jeans. They’re black, have rips in them, and flare at the bottom. I distressed them myself. They kind of tell a story of everywhere I’ve been.

Where are your favorite places to shop?

If I’m shopping for a certain thing or event, I’ll head to Urban Outfitters or Madewell. If I am bargain shopping, I’ll go to Goodwill or Dirt Cheap.

Where do you find inspiration for your style?

Pinterest! I love Pinterest.

Who is your style icon?

Vanessa Hudgens

What makes you feel confident in an outfit?

If I feel good in an outfit and if I like it, it changes how I feel about it. I think an article of clothing can contribute as well. If I achieve the style I am trying to attain, I feel confident. A good proportion helps too.
