If you could describe your style in one word, what would it be? I choose my outfits based on comfort, so that is the word I would use to describe my style. I would never want to leave for class in clothing I am unhappy with. I pride myself in looking presentable every day, and I hate leaving the apartment feeling unsatisfied with my outfit choices.
What is your favorite brand? Lucky Brand. They offer a variety of casual, yet elevated, pieces that fit the look I typically go for. As I mentioned previously, comfort is a top priority to me, and their jeans are the best I have found out of all the brands I have tried.
Who is your style inspiration? I would say I do not have one. I kind of just throw things together that I think look cool.
What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own? I have a sweatshirt from Ralph Lauren with a picture of their logo on it. It is navy and has a graphic of a bear dressed in a suit holding a football. The company has a whole collection of apparel based around this logo that I want to invest in.
What is your favorite accessory? My Boston sports hats. I want to rep my home teams all the way in Texas while choosing colors that compliment my current outfit.
Do you consider yourself a trend follower? No. I find what looks good on me and I stick to it. I would not consider the items I wear to be the current trends.
What is your go-to outfit? Leather Chelsea boots, jeans, a long sleeve shirt, and an open button-down.
How has your style changed since coming to Baylor? I have had to adapt to a hotter climate. It was much easier to layer sweatshirts with jackets in Massachusetts. However, with Waco’s warmer temperatures I have adapted to wearing short sleeves or rolled up long sleeves with shorts. I constantly get made fun of for wearing long sleeves in ninety-degree weather.
Do you prefer dressing for colder weather or warmer weather? Colder. All the way. I love the look of sweatshirts with a wool denim jacket over it. I also enjoy wearing boots with jeans, but not Cowboy boots.
What fashion advice do you have for our readers? You do you. Do what you like, who cares what other people think. You should feel good in whatever you are wearing.
