One Day

Buttoned staffers, Avery and Victoria, visited One Day on a gloomy Thursday evening. It felt like they had stepped out of Waco and into Uptown New York. The atmosphere was classy and hip. The fictional character, Dan Humphrey, would spend every waking hour at One Day if he could. They chatted with Tori, a bartender and server at One Day. She told them all about the new hotspot in Waco. 

Describe One Day in a few sentences.

From tall boys to fancy cocktails, we have something for everyone here. One Day is a place that fosters creativity and community. You quickly become friends with the people here. People want to know your name. It is a community-oriented place. And, it has a cool atmosphere and aesthetic. 

How did One Day start?

The owner, Kyler, started One Day. People would always ask him when he would open a bar, and he would always say, “one day.” The bar has been in the works since last summer. It opened this summer. 

What kind of drinks does One Day serve?

One side of our menu has classic cocktails. The other side has our versions of the cocktails. Our most popular drink is the Pit Viper. We also have wine and crafted beers on tap. All our beers on tap are from local breweries. We also have White Claw, Lone Star, and some craft beers in a can. There is something for everyone here. 

What is your personal favorite drink?

The Pit Viper. It has a little bit of a kick. It’s like a jalapeño margarita. 

When is the best time to come?

If you want a chill vibe, come on a weekday evening. If you want to come when it’s popping, come on a Friday or Saturday night.
