Valentine's Day for Enneagram Types
By Greta Gessert
I’m no enneagram expert, but I do love reading and learning about the different types. You might think that Valentine’s Day isn’t for everyone, but maybe you just haven’t found the Valentine’s Day activity that’s right for you. Here are some ideas for how to spend the day based on your Enneagram type!
Type 1
If you’re a One, you probably want to plan the perfect date night with your SO, with every detail planned to a T. Make reservations ahead of time so everything goes as planned, and try to remember to enjoy the night.
Type 2
Valentine’s Day is probably all about giving for Two’s. You’ll want to plan a date or party that will make your SO or friends happy, and you’ll make them perfect cards with perfect gifts. Rember, as you give this Valentine’s Day, don’t be hesitant to receive as well.
Type 3
As a Three, you might be tempted to outdo everyone this Valentine’s Day or skip it altogether to get some work done. Let yourself take a break from work and enjoy the evening with a cute night out.
Type 4
The most important thing to a Four on Valentine’s Day will be getting to share a deep conversation with their loved ones. Write a letter to those you care about, and block out some quality time that will be conducive to conversation with your person, maybe even a romantic picnic or stargazing.
Type 5
As a Five, a night in might be the perfect option. Make chocolate-covered strawberries and cue up a romantic movie for your sweet date night in.
Type 6
A Six won’t want to go too far into the unfamiliar for Valentine’s Day, so pick a favorite restaurant or frequented spot and spend your night in comfort.
Type 7
A Seven will likely be happy with any Valentine’s Day plans, but they won’t want to spend the day without any at all. A spontaneous hike or last-minute trip to a nearby city will make for the perfect date.
Type 8
An Eight will definitely want to plan their own date. Maybe plan for something active like rock-climbing or host a party!
Type 9
A Nine will be happy with any laid-back Valentine’s Day date. For you, it might be a good idea to go on a hike or walk around downtown for your romantic evening.
