Wear red! This one might seem simple, but studies actually show that wearing red makes you more attractive! When it comes to love, red is always in.

Don’t play hard to get (at least not for the person you have your eye on). Research shows that playing hard to get doesn’t work when you play hard to get for the person you actually want. However, if you play hard to get for everyone other than the person you actually want, that will make you more desirable.

Watch a scary movie on your first date. Researchers have found that any kind of arousal—even from fear—can heighten attraction. So, do something scary, like watching a scary movie, on your first date!

Opposites don’t really attract. Studies show that the more similar you are to your partner, the better. Essentially, look for someone you align with as much as possible! It is most important that you align on major attitudes and beliefs.

Of course, love isn’t a science. But if science can help, you might as well put it to work.
