With his red hair and classic 90’s style, he’s not your typical Environmental Studies Major. This week, Davis Misloski is So Hot Right Now!

How would you describe your style in five words or less?

This is four words, but 90’s Dad and skate poser.

Do you have any style icons?

Both my brother and sister are older than me, and I almost completely get my style from them. Also, I get my style from Kyle Mooney- he’s on SNL now, but I love him. There’s also some specific TV shows and movies like the movie Her and the show Twin Peaks.

What is one fashion item you could not live without?

A pair of black jeans. They’re not that helpful during summer in Texas, but when the weather gets milder, you can almost always find me in black jeans. If you ask my friends, that’s the clothing item they’ll tell you I would be in.

Where do you usually shop?

I’ve found the Salvation Army thrift store in Waco to be the best place for me to shop. It doesn't have the biggest variety compared to the Goodwills here, but that's where I find most of my best items so I usually go there.

What advice would you give freshman boys looking to develop their own personal style?

The most helpful thing I’ve learned would probably be to not be afraid to try on a couple things in the morning. My roommate, Austin, would tell you that I try on a couple things before I decide, so just don't be afraid to try on things until you feel comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing.

Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years and what kind of fashion do you think you’ll be wearing?

I see my style getting closer to how my dad styles himself, which is often layers. He loves them! As I get older I find myself putting on more layers and loving them more and more, even in the Texan heat. So I think as I get older I’ll start embracing layers even more than I already do and looking even more like my dad, which is not a bad thing at all.

If you had to make a movie based on your own life- who would you hire to play the role of yourself, and what kind of movie would it be?

I’d pick Domhnall Gleeson, and it would have to be about nature in some way because I think that’s such a big part of my life. It would be cool if it’s just a weird experimental film just watching him hike for several hours. So that’s it, the movie based on my life would just be a film of Domhnall Gleeson hiking. That would be my movie
