Anna Turner is authentic and adventurous! Her creativity shines through her Instagram feed, which is nothing short of captivating. It is clear that putting together outfits comes easily to her! She can often be found thrifting notable pieces to add to her closet. She is this week’s So Hot Right Now!
How would you describe your style? It is constantly changing! I would say I normally dress simple and casual!
What are your favorite brands? Free People is a GO TO! I also love Patagonia and its values! The company is extremely environmentally conscious and promotes giving back to the community.
Who is your style inspiration? The first person that comes to mind is Emma Chamberlain! She wears outfits that I would never think to put together, but they always look so good! I also like Margot Lee, and I base a lot of my style off of the musicians I listen to. I love how bold Harry Styles is.
Favorite piece in your closet right now? I recently bought these chunky loafers from Lattelier! They are white with black soles and gold detailing. I have not worn them anywhere yet, but they are my new obsession! I also ordered a black pair, so I could decide which one to keep, but I think I am going to end up keeping both!
What is your favorite accessory? Hats for sure! I am always wearing hats! You will probably never see me without a hat. I normally purchase them from thrift stores and Poshmark users. I love buying them when I go on vacation as well.
Do you prefer online shopping or in-store? Online! I am constantly shopping online, even if I do not want to or do not plan to buy anything. If I am not busy, I am most likely browsing websites for new finds!
What is one of your favorite trends at the moment? Thrifting! I feel like most of the time trends are the main reason we have fast fashion, so I try to avoid buying solely what is in fashion. I especially enjoy thrifting because I find items that not many others have.
How has your style changed since coming to Baylor? In high school, I had to wear a uniform every day, so it has been a very interesting transition. It was so nice to wake up and put on my outfit without even having to think about it. However, I have realized that no one cares what you are wearing, which encourages me to experiment with my style!
How would you say fashion has impacted your life? Growing up, I would always express myself through clothes. My outfits were my creative outlet. Now, I am an Apparel Merchandising major, and eventually, I want to work for a sustainable brand!
