Hat Styles to Try this Fall

I am a firm believer in hats both as a style must-have and a bad hair day quick-fix. With so many styles, they are one of the easiest ways to elevate an outfit. However, over my many years of hat wearing I have noticed they are an accessory many nervous to venture into. Whether you’re a long time hat-wear or looking to try something new, we’ve rounded up a guide to hat-wearing this fall.

Wide Brim Felt Hats

These are timeless and cross-seasonal. Brands like Gigi Pip and Lack of Color have a great selection of high quality felt hats in various styles. Pair with jeans and a sweater or dress it up with a maxi dress and boots.

Beanies

When it comes to hats, beanies are the easiest and most inexpensive way to spice up an outfit. Try pairing a bright beanie with a monochromatic outfit for a fun pop of color.

Bucket Hats

Bucket hats made a resurgence into fashion this summer and continue to be a favorite among hat wearers. This style is perfect for even your most casual outfits. Play around with textures like corduroy or shearling to amp up your fall style.

Fiddler Cap

If you’re looking to mix up your hat styles, try a fiddler cap. Though they come in endless variations, a classic black option will complete just about any outfit.
